Celebrate God's Glory:  Why We Sing

"... I have trusted in Your loving kindness; my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.
I will sing to the LORD, because He has dealt bountifully with me." (Psalm 13:5-6)

The Scripture is full of examples of many ways to praise God, such as shouting for joy, clapping or lifting up of hands, singing of
psalms and hymns, and dancing for the Lord.  In music, we have the opportunity to praise God while serving others.  Through Biblical, Christ-centered texts, we exalt Him by giving thanks, declaring His deeds, and honoring Him for His works and provision.  We also participate in revealing aspects of His personality (i.e., His love, grace, mercy, compassion, holiness, and goodness).

It is our goal as members of the choir, to also exemplify Him in our thoughts and actions, whether we serve in local or international communities.  The evidence of Christ in us will bring others to a deeper understanding of Him.
